Privacy policy

This page describes the data that the ISEIG SUP website collects, what it does with it, how long it keeps it and the rights you have. It is written to be read: if anything seems unclear to you, write to us and we will correct it.

Who is responsible

The data controller is ISEIG SUP — Higher Technical and International Business School of Management, Acropole Campus & MEEC Campus, Yaoundé, Cameroon.

For any question about your data: contact@iseig-sup.com, or the website's contact form. A data protection officer will be appointed and their contact details published here.

How long

  • Contact messages: 12 months after the last exchange.
  • Incomplete pre-registrations: 24 months, so that you can resume an application at the start of the following academic year.
  • Teacher applications: 24 months. An unsuccessful application is kept for this period, as we often come back to it at the start of the following academic year.
  • Student files: for the duration of studies, then in accordance with the statutory archiving obligations of higher-education institutions. Transcripts and diplomas are subject to long-term retention.
  • Guidance test results: 36 months, or until your account is deleted.
  • Chat window conversations: 12 months.
  • Technical logs: 12 months maximum.

Cookies

The website sets no audience measurement or advertising cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no social network pixel and no third-party tracker.

Before you take any action, no cookie is set. Those that may be set afterwards are strictly necessary for a service you have requested, and are therefore exempt from consent:

  • mini_cms_user_token — keeps you signed in to your area. Duration: the session, 1 hour by default.
  • mini_cms_csrf — protects forms against fraudulent submissions. Duration: 2 hours.
  • mini_cms_chat — links the chat window you have opened to your conversation. Duration: 12 months.

Fonts and icons are hosted on our own servers. Your IP address is therefore not passed on to any external provider when you browse the website.

Should audience measurement ever be introduced, it would be activated only after your explicit consent, with refusing made as simple as accepting.

Who has access to your data

Only authorised ISEIG SUP staff, and solely as required by their duties: the registrar's office sees student files, whereas a content manager has no access to them. The data is hosted on our servers and is not sold, rented or passed on for commercial purposes.

Transactional emails (confirmation, password reset) pass through our email hosting provider.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection, as well as the right to data portability. Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time, without affecting what was done beforehand.

To exercise these rights, write to contact@iseig-sup.com, stating the subject of your request. We respond within one month. Proof of identity may be requested if there is serious doubt as to the identity of the person making the request.

Some data cannot be erased on request: data that the institution is required by law to retain, in particular documents relating to studies and the award of diplomas.

Security

Passwords are stored as hashes and cannot be read by anyone, including us. Forms are protected against fraudulent submissions and rate-limited. Access to files is compartmentalised: a student's session never gives access to another student's data.

Changes

This policy may change, particularly when new features are introduced. The date of the last update appears below.
